Web Videos
Once upon a time, the only way for corporations and non-profits to get video messages out was through television and DVD, but the web has changed all of that. In this section, we've highlighted some of the work we've done for clients who wanted to reach people online only. These pieces include online advertisements, as well as short PSAs, commissioned by non-profit organizations.

Unlike traditional TV advertising, online videos can be found at any time on your site, on YouTube, and can even be spread by your clients, customers, and even perfect strangers. This gives online videos a life of their own which can spread your message far and wide, for far longer than a traditional advertising campaign could ever accomplish. The price is also much more reasonable.

Take a look and send us an email to tell us about what project you'd like the world to know about.

In this section, you can see two examples of online ads we have produced for clients. One features a European coffee maker, shot in a late-night TV ad style. The second is a funkier animated ad for a line of paper toy models, in this case an old-style Robot you can build at home.

If you have a product or event you need to advertise online, drop us a line. Our rates are very reasonable.

Make Your Own Robot!
How could we resist an offer to make an ad about a do-it-yourself robot kit? Benbaroo Design in Philadelphia has created a line of cardboard models that recreate the retro world of early 20th century science fiction and exploration. The video we created features silent film clips of killer robots, and some stop motion shooting. Check it out for a giggle.

Aeropress Coffee Maker
In 2010, local distributors of a European coffee maker approached Milton 2 to make an online commercial about their product. They wanted a 30 second spot that had a late-night TV ad feel. Here's the result.

  • United Church
    of Canada
This may be remembered as the golden age of video for non-profits, now that they can get their messages out to people online. These two videos show very different approaches. The first video is part of a series made for the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority in Ontario. It deals with the problem of invasive species. It features one of their experts speaking to camera, with some help from some gentle special effects. As the video shows, normal experts from the office can be very effective on camera if directed well, and when they are passionate about their subject matter.

The second video was produced for the United Church of Canada. It tells the story of a group of youth from three downtown churches who visited the remote Dene Nation of the Northwest Territories in 2012. The film will be shown across the country to churches planning trips for church youth groups. The film is often touching as the kids relate their experiences up north among their First Nations hosts.

Garden Invaders
Toronto is full of beautiful gardens, but what most of us don't realize is that many popular plants are actually quite bad for the environment. That's what the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority wants people to understand through this series of videos we have produced for them. The series features two-minute long videos about specific plants, starring experts from the Conservation Authority. The videos will have their premiere in the spring of 2013.

Planning an Exposure Tour
Every year, church youth groups go on trips to expand their horizons. Most go to foreign countries for a week or two. But in 2012, a youth group in Toronto chose to see how other people live by staying in Canada, and visiting the Dene Nation people in the Northwest Territories. M2 was asked to create a film about this trip, filming interviews, and editing trip footage. The United Church of Canada will use the video to show other churches how to plan this kind of tour.

  • If These Walls Could Talk...
There are times when the message you want to spread doesn't need to take on the world, but just reach your immediate clients, customers, sometimes, even just your local community. That message may be a story about an organization's history. Here's an example of some work we have done for a local church, telling its story using animation and narration, with music.

If These Walls Could Talk...
Every year in Toronto, historic buildings throw their doors open to the public for a weekend of architectural tourism. In 2012, Milton 2 collaborated with members of Bloor Street United Church to create this retrospective of the church's long history in the city. The video relies on animation, music and narration. It was originally displayed on a large screen in the church during the Doors Open event.
